In BOSTON, his most recent corporate position was Vice-President, Medical Affairs/Medicines Development Group, Global R&D, VERTEX Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Overall, Shahin has managed or led projects for 12 different companies, ten different brands and four drug launches, in different therapeutic areas and geographic regions [Asia, USA, EU]. Shahin co-founded the French-American Biotech Spring Board (FABS) in Boston/Cambridge MA. He trained in Internal Medicine & Infectious Diseases, practiced Medicine for more than 20 years in AP-HP Hospitals in Paris, Assistance Publique – Hopitaux de Paris.
